• Package Design • Vector Illustration • Final Art Production
Discount Drug Mart was looking for a new design to fit their line of private label beauty tools. The goal was to deliver something modern, unisex and non-polarizing that would appeal to a mass audience while still being unique and eye-catching. To accomplish this, I incorporated the bright blues and reds from DDM’s logo into the overall design and paired them against a rich, dark blue backdrop making both the logo and the tools stand out on the shelf.
Chica: HEB®
• Package Design • Line Extension • Final Art Production
HEB®, a supermarket chain based in Texas, wanted a new look to match their private label beauty line, Chica. Chica wasn’t meant to follow the same design guidelines as HEB’s corporate look, allowing me the freedom to play with colors and patterns and utilize those elements to make something fun, bright and eye-catching. For these products, color not only plays a big role in shelf impact, it also aids in ease of shopability as each color is used to represent a different category.
Gem™ Beauty Tools
• Branding • Logo Design • Package Design • Final Art Production
The goal of this project was to create a brand that would be non-polarizing and appeal to a mass market. Because the nature of a blister card puts the product as the main focal point, I didn’t want to design around the products as if they were an afterthought. Instead, the color palette from the packaging extends through the beauty tools themselves, creating an appealing visual grouping in the retail space.
